WEBSITE DEVELOPER/HELP DESK

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Some knowledge in the following areas: geoinformatics, web technologies, Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), scientist data management and publishing, and environmental management and conservation
  • Experience developing websites and implementing SEO tools

• Technical Skills:
  • Computer programming
  • Online tool developments
  • Custom software design & development
  • Custom website applications, design & development
  • Custom database design development & management
  • Write code for the website, using programming languages such as HTML, Java, JSON, SQL, or XML
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of both web development and geospatial data management

• Other Duties:
  • Meet with clients or management to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of a website or interface
  • Able to work remotely, but in collaboration with other team members
  • Create and test applications, interfaces, and navigation menus for a website
  • Write code for the website, using programming languages such as HTML, Java, JSON, SQL, or XML and other languages
  • Work with other team members to determine what information the site will contain
  • Work with graphics and other designers to determine the website’s layout
  • Integrate graphics, audio, and video into the website
  • Monitor website traffic
  • Create prototypes and mockups of websites or applications
  • Design and develop graphics
  • Perform other duties as required.
