IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Manage the organization’s server, customer websites, and desktop and mobile equipment. Ensure that email and data storage networks work properly. They also make sure that employees’ workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the central computer network. Manage telecommunication networks, if required.

Minimum Qualifications: Familiarity and proven expertise in the following areas: geoinformatics, web technologies, Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), scientist data management and publishing, and environmental management and conservation.

• Technical Skills in:
  • Computer programming
  • Online tool developments o Custom software design & development
  • Custom website application, design & development
  • Custom database design development & management
  • Expertise in WordPress
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (Required for some positions)
  • Knowledge of both web development and geospatial data management

• Other Duties:
  • Determine an organization’s system needs and install network hardware and software
  • Make needed upgrades and repairs to networks and ensure that systems are operating correctly
  • Able to work remotely, but in collaboration with other team members
  • Maintain network and computer system security
